Today thursday 19th November 2009

The teacher came in the classroom and gave us another lecture
it was titled: CONCEPTO DE EXAMEN

in this lecture we learned how to make an exam more succesful
we also learned that there's different types of exams like:
Speaking exams, Writenig exams and ejecution exams.
But the most important types of evaluation in an exam are three (3) :
Conceptuales
Procedimentales
Actitudinales
Then the teacher asked us to make an activity
of thinking about something we could aply
to take the types after mencioned succesfully use.
we thought about it and then told to the teacher our answers
then the teacher told us that we could go home now.

Chomsky's lecture

Today we saw this lecture it was about how people is able
to capt a language even though they are not really into it
they can have no really good gramatical knowledgments
but they can understand and be understood....
before reading we had to anwer and think about:
What makes human beings capable of learnign language? why were you able to learn your native
language? why is a Chinese girl adopted as a baby and taken to the united states able to learn english as her firts language?
And we altoguether with the members of my team conclude that it all have to be with the context that the child is sorrounded with when the child is growing up, the knowledgment grow too as well influenced by the things, people and even country or culture that the child live with.

Today as usually the teacher gave us sheets to work with.
First of all we had to give an answer to three questions and then read the text
printed on the sheets so we could learn something about the strategies we use on how
to learn a new language.
the questions are:
1.- Have you ever reflected upon, what what kind of language learner you are?
2.- Are you good, bad, why?
3.- When you are learning a new language what strategies do you use to help you learn that language?

and my answers to those questions are:
1.-I haven't refelcted before this lecture, but when I thought about it
I think that I'm kind of self-learner, because in school teachers never tought me
really good the english language but I was always learning tough, I watched and keep
watching movies in english as I try to understand, so yeah I'm kinda self-learner
always looking for my own tools to learn.
2.- I think I'm good, because I can clearly see my improvevement in the language.
3.- If I'm listening, first I try to undestarnd the language without having a printed text or
the security of what I'm listenign, then I look for the real content of what I'm listening, if I can not understand
a word or the content of it, I look for that word in a dictionary, then I try to use the new learning.

on friday 16 of october we learned about the acquisition of a language.
The hypothesis said that speakers colud express their needs only with their experience in the language if they had heard some expressions the are available to transfeer the same question in an especific situation, the children can compare their experiencess wit the situation in an specific moment of their lives, and they can be understood
without knowing the gramatical rules, as a teacher we must focus in this skill, our students must know how comunicate by themselves and then teach them and correct them in their mistakes everyday.

The meaning of learning a language

Today the teacher gave us a printed sheets, we had to answer the questions on it.
The answer to the firts question is that children learn a language with the people he live with,
like the parents, they have to teach their son how to communicate so he could be understood
by other person outside his family.
The parents play a really important rol in the son life because
they are the ones who are going to give him the very first push
to a language.

Piaget's theory

At the beginning of the class the teacher gaves us a sheets about Piaget, we started to know about piagets theory, we talked about it and then compare it with our own experience, and about diferent kinds of teaching methods. And answering to the first question printed in the sheets the children learn a mother language, because they are thinking about the meanings of the enviromental situations of them about the people the children grow with all the society and the need of communicate himself, the second question I would say it's when the children has stablish their mother language at eight or ten years they may learn another language but it could be also because a need or situations he have to face in a future.

ESSAY

today we gave to the teacher our essay about how things went on school
when we were practicing our teahcing.
In my case, the practices went really good
the students were so attendant to the class
and they were respectful and I think that's a really
important thing for us as teachers, because if we don't have
that respect, then the students won't want to learn.

In the school we talked about the same thing
our practices, and then the teacher asked us if we
had had any problem with the school or the students or
a teacher, any problem, but I think everybody had no problems at all.
